Nominations underway for the 2023 Indie Book Awards

Stores are now nominating for the 2023 Indie Book Awards. All Australian independent booksellers are invited to nominate in the awards, with booksellers already nominating their favourite Australian books of 2022.

Established in 2008, the Indie Book Awards celebrate the best Australian writing as nominated and selected by independent booksellers. The awards also recognise and celebrate the role independent booksellers play in promoting and nurturing Australian writing. Independent bookseller’s incredible passion and knowledge make them uniquely placed to judge and recommend the best Aussie books. This year's winners will join an illustrious list of previous winners including Tim Winton, Richard Flanagan, Charlotte Wood, Jane Harper and Trent Dalton to name just a few.

A longlist of 60 titles will be announced on 8 December. The shortlist will follow on 18 January 2023 with the winners to be announced at a virtual awards event on Monday 20 March 2023.

Leading Edge Retail are proud to continue their role in coordinating these awards in support of the wider industry.
